Major Tasks

Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Develop Marketing Strategies: Formulate comprehensive marketing plans aligned with the company’s overall business goals. This includes developing key strategies and tactics, and determining the optimal marketing mix.
  • Campaign Planning: Plan and implement marketing campaigns that promote the company’s products, ensuring they reach the target audience effectively.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to understand end customer needs, market trends, and competitor landscape. Use these insights to guide strategic decisions and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently. Monitor spending and adjust as necessary to maximise ROI.

Brand Management

  • Brand Strategy: Develop and maintain the company’s brand strategy, ensuring consistent brand messaging across all channels.
  • Brand Positioning: Lead branding projects to ensure the company brand(s) and product brands are positioned effectively in the market. This includes logo designs and redesigns, messaging updates, and promotional campaigns. Ensure that all marketing activities consistently reflect the brand’s identity and values.

Content Creation and Management

  • Content Strategy: Develop a content strategy that aligns with marketing goals and engages the target audience. To be aligned with Business development
  • Content Production: Create/oversee the creation of marketing content, including blog posts, press articles, brochures, technical bulletins, and social media posts.

Digital Marketing

  • Digital Marketing: Ensure digital strategies are data driven and effectively integrated with traditional channels/tactics.
  • Online Presence: Manage and enhance the company’s online presence, including the website, social media platforms, and email marketing
  • SEO: Implement and oversee search engine optimisation strategies to increase online visibility and traffic.
  • Analytics: Use web analytics tools to measure and report on the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns and identify areas for improvement

Advertising, Promotions and Events

  • Advertising campaigns: Plan and execute advertising campaigns across various media.
  • Promotional activities: Develop and manage promotional activities to increase brand awareness, familiarity, and drive sales.
  • Event planning: Plan and execute marketing events such as trade shows and open days to promote the company(s) and its products – UK and Europe.
  • Public Relations and Communications
  • PR Strategy: Develop and manage public relations strategies to enhance the company’s image and manage its reputation.

Product Marketing

  • Go-To-Market Strategies: Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new product launches. This involves co-ordinating with sales and business development teams, and planning promotional activities.
  • Product Positioning: Ensure products are effectively positioned in the market, based on input from business- and product development teams, to meet end customer needs and stand out from competitors.

Leadership and Sales Support

  • Agency Management: Manage social media, design, PR and web development agencies, ensuring marketing campaigns and assets stand out from the competition and effectively engage the target audiences.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales and business development, to ensure cohesive strategies and objectives across the organisation.
  • Sales Materials: Create and provide sales materials, such as brochures, product launch presentations, and promos. 

Performance Analysis and Reporting

  • KPIs and Metrics: Establish key performance indicators to measure the success of marketing initiatives. Use to identify areas for improvement and utilise data-driven insights to guide future marketing strategies and campaigns.

Who you are?

  • Previous relevant marketing experience in relation to the above tasks.
  • University Degree Level Qualification, preferably in Marketing & Communications
  • Ability to work in a cross disciplinary communication skills set, to deliver a combination of communication activities in a one team approach
  • Agricultural knowledge preferred, but not essential, training can be provided
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders

In order to support the integration of the recently acquired company and the expansion in both the UK and European market, the company is seeking am ambitious and experienced Marketing Specialist to promote the business and our products.

Based in the UK (in our headquarters in Cambridge or homebased) or in EU, the successful candidate will have an experienced understanding of all forms of marketing and communications.
